Branding a business begins with one simple questions, "What am I trying to communicate?" When companies are creating a logo that will appear on everything from foil stamped cards to direct mail and even custom pocket folders, it is important to know how you want consumers to view you.
An effective brand will clearly communicate a business' purpose, whether it be an auto shop, a food manufacturer or any other type of company, and every action a business takes or product it releases will only reinforce the brand, Entrepreneur magazine writes.
Furthermore, a business will have to invest more than just time to create an effective brand and logo – it will need to invest money. When visiting a printer, a business will get what it pays for. Initially, a few bucks for 1,000 business cards may seem like a good deal. However, when the materials return illegible, it may no longer seem so great.
"It's very important not to scrimp on your stationery or letterhead … If you look small, you'll be perceived as being small. There's nothing wrong with that if that's what you want to project. But if you want to be taken more seriously … then your whole image has to be behind that," said Khera.
Developing a strong brand is key to the success of any new business or startup. However, even established companies can benefit from an image revamp and should consult a professional printer if they need help.
