Foil stamping is an instant attention grabber. Custom foil stamping and embossing will add a touch of elegance to your next printed invitation, business card, thank you note or other important piece. At Corcoran Printing, we are experts in the foil stamping process and can help you use it to make your next piece truly unique.
We recently had the privilege of foil stamping one-of-a-kind wedding invitations and reply cards for Jessica Simpson for her California wedding to Eric Johnson, which was featured in People Magazine. We’ve also foil stamped an array of other printed materials for clients, from pocket folders and brochures to letterhead and personalized cards. Foil stamping is a process that always has an outstanding end result.
What is foil stamping? The use of foil films rather than metallic inks in the printing process for a high-end result. Foil stamping is a special kind of printing procedure where heat, pressure, and a metallic paper (foil) are used to create different shiny designs and graphics on various materials. A die presses the foil onto the material and the heat activates the adhesive.
Although standard gold and metallic finishes are the most commonly used, a wide selection of additional foil colors are also available to provide that unique reflective metallic effect. Various finishes such as marble and pearl effects are available as well. Another great thing about foil is that you’re not limited to just metallic effects. You can find anything from gloss to dull, fluorescents, holographic and even clear.
Whether you want to make a memorable first impression with a unique, foil stamped business card, create a completely different look and feel for your next brochure, or wow everyone with your next foil stamped party invite, we can help you every step of the way from design consultation to paper and die selection. We can help you select the right foils or combination of foils, as well as make sure it fits with your design ideas. Foil stamping doesn’t work well with intricate patterns or designs with thin lines, but our professional design team can help create a design that will make your foil stamp vision become a reality.
