Direct mail campaigns for the insurance industry

Business all over the country continue to take advantage of direct mail marketing campaigns, sending out printed materials to better engage with a targeted audience.

In one recent development, Home Value Protection sent out advertising fliers to potential customers in Ohio, telling them about ways the firm can help retain home values through insurance. The campaign was given the go-ahead by the Ohio Department of Insurance, allowing them to alert people in the state of the benefits its service provides.

The chief marketing officer for the firm, Teri Felix, said the advertising program would last for several weeks.

“Our goal in Columbus is to reach close to 50 percent of the homeowners in the Columbus area,” she said. “This campaign will run for six to seven weeks. We’ll slow down and be primarily off air by Thanksgiving.”

Sending out the right printed materials can be a key part of any marketing effort, While some have moved to digital mediums to get information, many still enjoy the the feel of holding a piece of paper in their hand.
