Creativity is a necessary element in any marketing campaign

One of the most important aspects of any successful printing and mailing campaign is the creativity with which it is developed. While many businesses may not consider imagination and innovation to be a requisite part of a flyer, brochure or custom folder, a little effort in this department could ensure a brand stands apart from its competitors.

In a recent article for Small Business Branding, Robert Kingston offered a few tips for those companies looking to get creative. First, he reminds businesses to ensure that any new ideas stay in line with a business’ product, service or brand so as not to confuse consumers.

Additionally, companies will need to perform some market research to make sure their target audience will actually take notice and be receptive of a new campaign. It needs to be tailored to their needs and preferences.

“People invest more of their time into processing creative and new ideas than things they’re already familiar with … Also, depending on how your prospects look at it, they could also get more meaning from the creative ad than what you could communicate through a plain ad,” Kingston writes for the source.

Businesses can get creative also with the packages or envelopes they decide to send materials in. Different shapes, sizes and colors can all work to catch the attention of consumers.
